Director of Platform Engineering

What we are looking for

Semperis looking for an experienced Director of Platform Engineering to join the Engineering Leadership team. This is a global role based in Israel.

Position Overview

Lead our global platform and DevOps team responsible for all product infrastructure across SaaS and on-premises solutions. Drive the development of new SaaS offerings from scratch while scaling to support large customer bases under strict security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute platform and DevOps strategy aligned with business objectives

Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global team of engineers

Architect scalable platform solutions meeting enterprise security requirements

Optimize developer experience through modern tooling and automation

Balance strategic initiatives with operational commitments

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and technical discussions

Ensure platform reliability, performance, and security across all products

Required Qualifications

Experience:

8+ years in platform engineering roles

4+ years leading distributed technical teams

Proven track record building and scaling SaaS products from ground up

Experience with large-scale installations under enterprise security requirements

Fluent English and Hebrew. Experience leading multi lingual and global teams

Technical Skills:

Expert in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure , GCP) and hybrid architectures

Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)

Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability platforms

Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks

Experience with C# development is an advantage.

Leadership:

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills

Strategic thinking with ability to execute plans

Experience mentoring teams and facilitating technical discussions

Track record of successful change management

Additional:

Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Cloud platform certifications

Experience in regulated industries

International team management experience
