Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pfizer Hematology and Endocrinology portfolio within Specialty Care. Pfizer Hematology has 3 on-market products (Hympavzi, Benefix and Xyntha) and Endocrinology has 2 on-market products (Ngenla and Genotropin), with a continued commitment to the Sickle Cell therapeutic area with a phase 3 pipeline asset (osivelotor) in development.

Pfizer Hematology is seeking a franchise-level Regional and Customer Marketing Director. The Regional and Customer Marketing Director is a critical hybrid field-based role with dual customer-facing and marketing responsibilities within Pfizer’s Hematology and Endocrinology Franchise, responsible for executing national and regional marketing strategies that drive therapeutic area awareness and support Pfizer’s commitment to Rare Hematology, with a primary focus on Sickle Cell Disease.

Reporting to the US Hemophilia Factor and Sickle Cell Lead, the colleague will work in alignment with Marketing and collaborate with Thought Leader Engagement, Patient Engagement, Policy & Public Affairs, Communications, and Medical to develop and implement initiatives that resonate with health systems and patient communities tailored to the unique dynamics of priority geographies (50% of time), while maintaining connection with key thought leaders and health systems in the rare hematology and sickle cell space (50% of time).This is a unique opportunity to drive commercial readiness and market shaping efforts in a high-impact therapeutic area, while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure our pipeline delivers on its promise to transform care for people living with sickle cell disease.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute national and regional marketing plans aligned with TA strategy while addressing local market dynamics and customer needs.

Obtain therapeutic insights from Opinion Leaders and key stakeholders to help advance portfolio strategies and decisions

Identify emerging trends, competitive activity, and customer insights that inform business decisions.

Build out local market plan that is informed by strategic assessment in partnership with other cross functional stakeholders

Ownership of strategic and tactical execution of local marketplace plans including relevant materials and resources for patient education and community engagement to enhance TA and Pfizer visibility

Optimize marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum impact based on TA strategy

Establish and maintain organizational processes and guidelines (in partnership with legal/compliance and Patient Engagement, TLEL and Medical) to ensure a consistent and compliant approach to Opinion Leader and key stakeholder engagement

Responsibilities include management of 3rd party agency for content creation, navigation of content through RC/GCMA process, and budget management

Lead Special Projects across Hem/Endo TA as requested/appropriate

Work collaboratively and seamlessly with Pfizer cross-functional teams, including marketing (US and global), medical, patient engagement, policy and communications to ensure cross-functional alignment in execution as compliant

Lead national and regional conference strategy and presence, ensuring impactful engagement with key customers with actionable metrics, and track vs. goals.

Liaise and communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure local market insights are informing broader Pfizer strategic plans

Monitor and analyze marketing campaign effectiveness, leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and refine strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing, with a strong background in regional execution and prior customer-facing experience (i.e. sales, key account)

Experience in customer engagement in Rare Disease and Specialty Care highly preferred, along with prior Sickle Cell Disease experience

Proven ability to develop and implement regional marketing strategies tailored to local market conditions.

Strong understanding of the rare hematology/sickle cell landscape, competitive market dynamics, and key stakeholders.

Experience working in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with Patient Engagement, Medical Affairs and Policy.

Ability to analyze market data, identify insights, and develop actionable marketing strategies.

Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays and weekend congress participation.

Demonstrated success in influence/negotiation and proven ability to build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with key external and internal stakeholders, including key opinion leaders

Proven leadership skills while working in cross functional and matrix environment, with an ability to lead by influence

Strong organizational and analytical skills, including capabilities for uncovering deep customer insights, and assessing complex business/customer situations and translating insights into actionable plans

Track record of working well across internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated creativity in development and partnership collaborations / innovative programs

Excellent communication and facilitation skills- thinks & communicates with the audience's needs first

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
