Job Description Summary

• As a member of the Design Liaison Engineering team, you will actively contribute to the Gas Turbine Engineering organization by providing design engineering support to our manufacturing and global supply chain partners. Our team plays a key role in ensuring high technical rigor to preserve product quality, while acting reactively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• The Design Liaison Engineer provides technical expertise and component design knowledge to analyze and disposition non-conformances affecting component functionality, quality, and producibility, oversee internal and supplier qualifications, and participate in "Lean" initiatives aimed at reducing costs (scrap and rework) and non-conformances. He/She also leads redesign projects involving the revision of engineering drawings.
• This operational position requires close collaboration with Design Engineering Teams, Suppliers, and Manufacturing Sites to ensure component quality and availability.
• DLE position related to the manufacturing of HGP Static Components for Gas Turbines.

Roles and Responsibilities

• •Ensure autonomous decision-making for non-conformances (internal and supplier) in accordance with technical specifications and current quality standards.
• •Drive the resolution of technical problems requiring engineering expertise, while ensuring compliance with established procedures.
• •Consult Design Engineers and Technical Experts to resolve complex technical issues outside of defined instructions.
• •Provide advanced mechanical design expertise for defect analysis, propose sustainable corrective solutions, and implement preventative action plans.
• •Identify and evaluate redesign opportunities to optimize component manufacturability and performance.
• •Manage the change lifecycle and ensure the update of definition packages (drawings, specifications). Ensure technical integrity, compliance with safety standards, and quality standards across all modifications.
• •Act as Engineering Representative for the approval of internal and supplier qualifications, ensuring compliance starting from the industrialization phase.
• •Promote a culture of operational excellence and responsiveness across interfaces between engineering, production, and the supply chain.
• •Actively contribute to "Lean" initiatives to optimize processes, standards, and working methods.

Required Qualifications

• •Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering.
• •Experience in design engineering, manufacturing engineering, product support, or liaison engineering.
• •Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and bills of materials.
• •Decision-making under schedule pressure
• •Knowledge of product lifecycle processes, configuration control, and engineering change management.
• •Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methods.
• •Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• •Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• •Fluent English speaker (level C1 or higher)
