DoLS Authorised Signatory

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Adult Social Worker to join its client’s Locum DoLS Authorised Signatory team, based in Rotherham.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will:

DoLS assessments — Review, quality‑assure, and sign off Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards assessments completed by Best Interests Assessors and Mental Health Assessors to ensure they meet legal and statutory requirements.

Authorising DoLS applications — Make decisions on whether a deprivation of liberty is lawful and proportionate, issuing standard or urgent authorisations in line with the Mental Capacity Act.

Multi‑agency liaison — Communicate with care homes, hospitals, families, advocates, and health professionals to gather information, provide guidance, and ensure the person’s rights and best interests remain central.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

Social Work England registration

Eligible to work in the UK

Hold a full UK driving licence

Post-qualified experience

Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
