Requirements

Summary of Functions:

Primary responsibilities are to safely run protein plant dryer equipment and achieve the goals of production while maintaining consistent quality. This job description is sufficient for departmental functions such as: Protein Dryer and Bagger.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Running large machinery and maintenance.
• •Packaging of protein powder in 50lb bags or large totes.
• •Troubleshooting of machinery.
• •Cleaning of floors, walls, tools, etc.
• •Chemical safety, workplace safety and cGMP training and practices.
• •CIP and sanitation of equipment.
• •Routine inspections of all working parts.
• •Move pallets using pallet jack or forklift as required.

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:

• •Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
• •Comply with GMPs in the plant.
• •Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality System.
• •Organizational Relationships:
• •Position reports to the Production Supervisor in the Protein Department.

Qualifications:

• •High school diploma or GED.
• •Minimum 1 year work experience
• •Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• •Must be a team player and the ability to work independently.
• •Attention to detail.
• •Flexibility in the schedule is required regarding different shifts, days, weekends and holidays.
