Dump Truck Driver

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dump Truck Driver in the Tucson area to join our team. Candidate must have experience in operating a Super 16.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• •Safely operate a dump truck in a manner that reduces risk and liabilities.
• •Ensure load weight is in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• •Perform and properly document pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure they are in a safe and legal condition.
• •Maintain accurate records of trip details, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance reports and hours worked.
• •Communicate effectively with project managers, equipment operators, and other team members to coordinate material transport and delivery schedules in a direct and friendly manner.
• •Always adhere to Achen-Gardner Construction's safety policies and procedures.
• •Perform basic maintenance on the truck when necessary.
• •Accurately navigate a dump truck using instructions, maps or GPS, to a wide variety of locations both on road and off.
• •Properly wear and safely use PPE.
• •Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

• •High school diploma or equivalent.
• •Valid Arizona Class B or A CDL in good standing
• •Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• •Minimum of 3 years of experience operating dump trucks preferred.
• •Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and best practices for materials.
• •Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• •Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• •Basic mechanical skills for minor truck maintenance.
• •Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
• •Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
• •Ability to read, understand and navigate using paper and/or digital maps.
• •Ability to read and write the English language.
• •Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• •Possible excessive hours during short durations.
• •May include some weekend and evening work, depending on current projects.
• •Working outdoors in AZ climate
