Are you passionate about elevating orthopaedic and plastics nursing practice? This is your chance to join our education team, to lead innovation and education across the orthopaedic and plastics clinical speciality.

This is an exciting 12 month fixed-term, part-time role (0.6 FTE) which will support our acute sites a t East Melbourne, Fitzroy , Werribee and Kew .

As the Education Consultant you will:

Identify learning gaps and create innovative solutions for orthopaedic and plastics patient care

Deliver specialised clinical education that transforms nursing practice

Support our staff and diverse learners - from postgraduate students to enrolled and registered nurse graduates

Champion professionalism and foster collaborative teamwork through a multi-disciplinary approach

What we’re looking for, could you be our perfect match?

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Minimum 5 years experience with a solid understanding of current orthopaedic and plastics nursing practices

Proven experience supporting diverse nursing learners (enrolled & registered)

Previous experience in a clinical education or leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to design and deliver educational programs

Passion for education and mentoring excellence

Innovation mindset and collaborative spirit

Proficiency in using digital platforms and educational technology

P ost-graduate qualification in Orthopaedic s or Plastics Nursi ng

A bility to work flexibly (willing to travel across all four sites)

P erioperative background in orthopaedic nursing is highly desirable

REQUIREMENTS:

Criminal record and/or child protection checks will be conducted and will form part of the selection criteria for this role.
