ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION TECH - NIGHT SHIFT

Description

• •Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am (8-hour shifts)
• •Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical systems and instrumentation, including sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
• •Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• •Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• •Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to perform installations and repairs accurately.
• •Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support process improvements and ensure optimal system performance.
• •Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment inventories.
• •Assist in the design and implementation of new electrical and instrumentation systems and upgrades.
• •Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.
• •Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
• •Report to work at the scheduled time, work as scheduled and is seldom absent from work.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• •Proven experience as an E&I Technician or in a similar role in an industrial setting.
• •Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• •Strong understanding of electrical theory, control systems, and instrumentation.
• •Proficient in the use of testing and diagnostic equipment, such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and calibrators.
• •Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) automation systems integration, and HMI’s.
• •Competent in 120/220/480V wiring for in installations and troubleshooting systems and circuits
• •Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• •Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• •Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Education/Experience/Certifications/Licenses

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or certification in electrical/instrumentation technology required.

Typical Physical and Mental Demands/Work Environment:

• •Work full shifts in areas where temperatures may exceed 100°F during summer months .
• •Stand and walk for extended periods.
• •Frequently climb, bend, reach, squat, twist, push, and pull.
• •Lift and carry materials weighing approximately 50+ lbs.
• •Work around manufacturing machinery, noise, dust, and other production conditions.
• •Maintaining physical endurance throughout extended shifts.
• •Follow all safety procedures.
• •Wear required PPE (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.) and maintain attention and productivity throughout duration of shift.
