Electronic Industrial Controls Helper

Summary

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, US Coast Guard, Yard, Industrial Department, Electro Group in Baltimore MD. This is a temporary appointment not to exceed 1 year, can be extended up to 5 years total an or can be converted to permanent without further consideration.

Duties

You will be responsible for learning the common and most typical job assignments of the trade. Being a civilian working for the Coast Guard makes you a valuable team member. Typical duties include: * Removing and installing cabling that have been disconnected from marine crafts and other assignments and re-pulling/running cable through ships. * Interpreting material specifications, use handbooks, tables, and other similar data relating to your work. * Providing basic tasking for construction and repair required for accomplishing all Electrical and Electronic operations along with Yard objectives. * Assisting in installing radars, electronic countermeasures, IFF/TACN (Crypto Systems), Navigational Systems, radio directional finders. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.

Trouble shooting (Electronic Equipment) 7.
