Electronic Trading Support Engineer - 2026/2027 Grads

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a New Graduate Electronic Trading Support Engineer to join our global Trade Operations (TradeOps) team in Dublin. This team is responsible for managing HRT’s live trading environment, one of the most robust and efficient electronic trading platforms in the world.

In a high performance environment, immediate awareness of and reaction to systems and trading issues is essential. That’s where HRT’s Electronic Trading Support Engineers come in.

Responsibilities

First line of response to production issues to ensure maximal uptime of market data feeds, order entry connections and trading algorithms

Curious problem-solver and able to stay calm under pressure

Ability to multitask and prioritise live issues based on their trading impact

Strong communication skills to collaborate with other teams during live incidents

Identify recurring problems - build and enhance monitoring tools to make our platform more reliable

Qualifications

You are a recent graduate or current full-time undergraduate or master’s student studying computer science (or a related field) who is eligible for full-time roles in 2026/ 2027

Understanding of networking routing and troubleshooting

Experience with Python is required, as are good CS fundamentals

Knowledge of UNIX/Linux command line

Interest in low-level architecture, and/or verification is a plus

The estimated base salary range for this position is 100,000 to 150,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
