Engineer 2 – Integrated Manufacturing Engineer for Configurations Hardware

Job Description Summary

The Integrated Manufacturing Engineer for Configurations hardware is responsible for new make manufacturing, focused on safety, quality, and delivery for parts coming from manufacturing, assembly, and testing operations that support engine delivery. The role includes activities to improve part producibility, reduce losses, and build strong supplier relationships. In addition, the engineer drives technical improvements to existing products and resolves issues through immediate actions and short term planning.

Roles and Responsibilities

• •Support projects with global key stakeholders from manufacturing, assembly, and test operations to develop solutions that support and enable engine delivery.
• •Evaluate and help resolve non-conformances and producibility issues using sound engineering judgment.
• •Support improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through process and product improvements.
• •Work with design, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and suppliers to address technical and production issues.
• •Help identify and implement actions to reduce manufacturing losses, improve part flow, and increase producibility.
• •Provide day-to-day engineering support for existing products and help execute short-term improvement plans.
• •Use engineering tools, data, and standard processes to analyze problems and recommend practical solutions.
• •Help build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal teams to support reliable delivery performance.
• •Manage assigned tasks and small to medium projects with guidance, meeting technical, quality, and schedule commitments.
• •Clearly communicate technical information, status, risks, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
• •Continuously build knowledge of manufacturing processes, hardware configuration requirements, and product design intent.

Required Qualifications

• •Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• •Some engineering experience in manufacturing, production, design, quality, or industrial operations.
• •Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and engineering drawings.
• •Ability to solve technical problems using structured thinking and sound engineering principles.
• •Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• •Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• •Basic project management and prioritization skills.
• •Familiarity with engineering analysis tools such as FEA/ANSYS is a plus.

Desired Characteristics

• •Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance interpretation.
• •Exposure to non-conformance review, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
• •Experience working with suppliers or external manufacturing partners.
• •Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• •Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• •Knowledge of turbine hardware, engine components, or aerospace manufacturing processes is preferred.
• •Experience with continuous improvement methods or lean manufacturing tools is a plus.
