Engineer CAE Durability

Job Introduction:

Modelling and analyzing transmission systems through 3D FEM Modeling using Altair HyperWorks.

Major Responsibilities:

Analyzing powertrain components for loads, stresses, and Lifetime.

Calculating housings and other transmission components for hybrid and electric powertrain designs using simulation tools

Preprocessing of geometry in Altair HyperMesh/SimLab

Defining boundary conditions, perform Postprocessing and check for plausibility and Interpretation of simulation results

Creating reports according to Magna Powertrain specifications and templates, including recommendations and proposals for design optimization

Writing technical documents and presenting the results in an efficient manner

Knowledge and Education:

University degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or similar domain with a specialization in mechanical or electrical systems

Work Experience:

3-10 years of professional experience working in the field of CAE simulations (preferably in automotive transmission systems)

Skills and competencies:

Advanced knowledge of the working principle of transmission systems

Basic Knowledge of CATIA V5 Software

Advanced Knowledge of SimLab, HyperMesh, Abaqus and FEMFAT

Advanced Knowledge of Finite Element Methods and modeling

Communication skills, self-initiative, and high level of accountability

Highly motivated team player with ability to co-ordinate across geographies

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
