Engineering Supervisor

Job Description Summary

Supervise activities related to project engineering. Ensure compliance with engineering and design plans and goals in alignment with customer needs and the company's production departments, while maintaining high standards of service for both internal and external clients and ensuring the quality of the work delivered.

Essential Responsibilities

• •Coordinate activities related to project engineering;
• Monitor the team's work progress through meetings and/or various reports;
• •Define systems and tools for the development of electrical and mechanical product designs, as well as their respective specifications;
• •Manage the human resources assigned to your area, conducting individual performance and potential evaluations, recommending hires, promotions, and replacements, and keeping employees informed about company policies and guidelines;
• •Research and evaluate alternatives to streamline work processes, aiming to optimize engineering operations;
• •Prepare various reports related to your area of responsibility;
• •Promote the technical development of the engineering team through internal and external training;
• •Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, either as a member of working groups or as an action leader;
• •Develop and review technical and departmental standards;
• •Deliver internal and external technical training to clients;
• Conduct technical visits to clients and suppliers;
• •Provide technical support to the production, quality, technical assistance, commercial teams, and clients by offering information, resolving questions, and making changes to technical documentation when necessary, aiming to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction;
• •Participate in the development of software and tools related to engineering processes.

Required Qualification:

• •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• •Knowledge of power transformers and substation equipment
• •Fluent in Portuguese and English
• •Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Desired Competencies

• •Technical knowledge in air-core reactors
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• •Initiative, problem-solving ability, leadership, planning and organizational skills, and results-oriented mindset
• •Knowledge of NBR, IEC, and IEEE standards relevant to the area of expertise
• •Familiarity with Lean principles
