Norwest Christian College is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our growing community from Term 1, 2027. This full-time role will suit a teacher who is passionate about English, committed to Christian education, and eager to help students grow in faith, character, and purpose.

Your Role:

Contribute dynamically to the English team by working collaboratively to create rich learning experiences that strengthen students academically and support the development of positive learning dispositions.

Bring previous experience, or demonstrate the capacity to develop resources, assessment tasks and lessons that align with the new Stage 4-5 English Syllabus, including the meaningful use of technology and project-based learning where appropriate.

Demonstrate the capacity and willingness to teach Stage 6 English courses, with knowledge of syllabus requirements and an understanding of NESA requirements for Stage 6 English.

Have strong communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to build strong connections with students, staff and the wider school community.

have experience with Stage 6 learning, including teaching the New Stage 6 Syllabus (and demonstrated success);

be committed to their own professional learning and growth;

be pastorally minded and comfortable with sharing your faith;

have an understanding of the wellbeing needs of adolescents; and,

be willing to actively contribute to the extra-curricular life of the College.
