ChristianaCare is seeking motivated individuals to join our Environmental Services team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and caregivers while supporting infection prevention and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• •Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, and hospital common areas.
• •Remove trash, soiled linen, and bulk waste from assigned areas.
• •Maintain Environmental Services equipment, carts, and supply closets.
• •Restock paper products and soap throughout the facility.
• •Follow infection control, safety, and departmental procedures.
• •Respond promptly to work-related calls and messages.
• •Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• •Attend required training and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• •High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• •Strong communication and customer service skills.
• •Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• •Ability to use a smartphone or mobile device for work assignments.
• •Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Physical Requirements

• •Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items throughout the shift.
• •Ability to work in a healthcare environment with possible exposure to infectious diseases while following required safety precautions.

This position has a starting rate of $17.80 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.90 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.93 per hour.

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
