Summary

This position is in the Office of the Administrator, Office of Civil Rights and Adjudication, Equal Employment Opportunity Division. About this organization: AO This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

Duties

You will: Provide policy guidance and technical assistance across the agency, on issues related to equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative employment. Establish standards for measuring agency progress on workplace EEO and determine strategies based on trend analyses for offices and laboratories across the agency, to meet their EEO goals and objectives. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, by performing tasks such as coordinating program activities and creating timelines and milestones. Provide guidance, advice, and training at the national level to collateral duty Special Emphasis Program Managers (SEPMs) in programmatic and regional offices and laboratories across the agency. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.

Qualifications

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as processing Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints from intake through resolution; communicating findings to individuals or audiences through written, visual or verbal reports or briefings; and planning, coordinating, and/or evaluating an agency's EEO Program. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Oral Communication Policy Planning and Execution Civil Rights Laws and Regulations* Program/Project Management/Evaluation* Technical Competence* Problem Solving Attention to Detail Partnering *You will be evaluated on these critical competencies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
