Responsibilities:
Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer
Installs trench boxes as necessary
Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures
Ensure proper excavation & compaction procedures are performed
Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections & grease equipment at required intervals
Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job
Manage quality control and production
Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner
Requirements:
Ability access secured facilities
Ability to operate large excavators with precision
High attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
Employee must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.
Other physical requirements include walking, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
