Job Summary

The Events Server/Bartender is responsible for making and serving alcoholic beverages and performing Events Server functions including set-up, service, and cleanup of hotel event activities ensuring overall success and repeat business, while creating memorable experiences by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• •Attend to guest needs and requests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• •Properly follow recipes to make and serve a wide variety of mixed drinks using an extensive range of ingredients.
• •Orders, requisitions, and stocks all liquor, beverage and other bar supplies according to company standards.
• •Ability to perform Events Server functions as needed, including proper setup/reset of guest sitting areas, attending to guest needs; serve and make alcoholic beverages, ensuring that proper measurement and recipes are followed.
• •Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
• •Properly and thoroughly set-up all server areas and complete all opening, closing, and side work duties during shift.
• •Check identification to verify legal age (21) requirements for all guests.
• •Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
• •Abide by all control, regulations, laws, and procedures related to food/alcohol service, safety, and sanitation.
• •Must be able to cross-train in other F&B related areas.

Requirements

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:

• •High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• •Luxury hotel/fine dining experience is preferred.
• •High volume, fast-paced work environment experience preferred.
• •Food Handlers card is required.
• •Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
• •Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.
• •Proficient in English- verbal and written.
• •Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements include:

Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
