Our Digital Tax team comprises both Tax and Technology subject matter experts, working in tandem to transform and automate business processes across areas such as corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and goods and services tax. Using a combination of off-the-shelf applications and bespoke products, we provide effective digital solutions to enable data-driven insights and ease the burden of manual processes so that efforts can instead be channelled into navigating the modern-day Tax landscape.
You will work as part of a team that develops applications for internal as well as clients’ use. This role offers exciting exposure to cutting-edge technologies, including the application of generative AI in tax processes, helping to shape the future of digital tax solutions and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate seamlessly within Agile teams alongside diverse stakeholders, throughout all project phases — from opportunity identification and process improvement to risk management.
- Own your technical growth, proactively enhancing your skillset through structured curriculums, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
- Participate actively in system design, implementation, testing, and documentation, balancing business requirements with technical feasibility.
- Support project planning and execution to ensure alignment with objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical team members and stakeholders.
- Facilitate training sessions on digital tools, methodologies, and best practices; mentor junior team members to collectively achieve project goals.
- Provide multi-tiered (L1/L2/L3) end-user support, including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and updating knowledge bases.
- Consistently deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognised university.
- At least 2 years working experience in software development field.
Skillsets and Experience
- Proficient hands-on experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and/or ASP.NET MVC within multi-tiered, object-oriented development environments.
- Solid experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
- Skilled in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Experience or proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
- Adaptable and eager to learn emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Experience with version control systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and BPM tools such as K2 or Nintex is advantageous.
- Prior exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), open source software, big data, machine learning frameworks, or numerical programming is a plus.
- Additional programming skills in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, Microsoft Azure, or Alteryx are an added advantage.
