Job Title: External Manufacturing Technical Manager – MEA

Department: R&D

Reports To: MEA Packaging Manager

Location: El Tagamoa El Khames Commercial Office

Role Purpose

The Kraft Heinz Company is looking for External Manufacturing Technical Manager who will have the overall responsibility for working in a high performing team and you will be part of the R&D international organization. Alongside peers you will always try to reach the next level. Get ready for exposure to internal senior stakeholders but as well working together with factory operators. This role is that you’ll be leading the R&D Product Development Team responsible for all product development projects / activities to implement the R&D Strategy and deliver MEA goals and objectives for any product within MEA.

Position Key Responsibilities

• •Lead the Development activities related to NPDs project within the scope of the External Manufacturing.
• •Support Product Development activities in ESG & Masterbrand projects in Co-packers Portfolio
• •Aligning and Implementing the R&D Strategies and MEA goals Strat-plan into actions within Co-packers Projects.
• •Implement the 3 years innovation calendar and proactively new concepts.
• •Lead the Innovation Bank for Co-packers and RIGHT Process implementation in MEA.
• •Lead the technical project management the assigned product development and formulation projects related to NPD, Innovations, Renovations, Offload, VE, Process excellence.
• •The owner of Co-packers approvals for the benchtop trials and recipes development within the timeline.
• •Develop and deliver new, improved or more cost-efficient products within the framework of the agreed innovation, cost-out pipeline and SC pipeline projects at the copackers.
• •Continuously find ways to improve our processes, ways of working, capabilities.
• •Create, develop and implement industrialized product solutions under specific projects, ensuring robust risk management and delivery of quality attributes in line with consumer’s expectation, brand foundations and guidelines
• •Managing the deliverables and milestones within the singed off timeline
• •Keep all records and filing up to date for each trial across different scales.
• •Develop good relations with the internal customers: Regulatory, Finance, Procurement, Factory teams & Marketing to support the product development projects progress.
• •Make sure that Kraft Heinz regulations and standards are applied within the Co-packers.
• •Identify and implement process excellence & cost saving initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications

• •Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science or general science degree
• •Work Experience: 5 - 8 years in FMCG – Food Manufacturing
• •Language Knowledge: Proficient English

Technical Skills

• •Technical acumen: understanding of basic principles of food production, and product development concepts
• •Knowing key product characteristics, analytical methods, organoleptic attributes
• •Hygienic Design, Thermal validation, Cleaning validation, CIP optimization, HACCP.
• •Mixing & Dosing, Homogenization, Emulsification, Pump and Fluid Transport.
• •Project management skills
