As an Fabrications Product Quality Auditor at Caterpillar you will:

Job Responsibility:

• •Completes inspections of fabrication structures and undercarriage using standard work, a checklist, and tooling provided (gauges, templates, etc.)
• •Performs overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.
• •Inspects welds on the product to ensure it meets the specifications as outlined by Engineering.
• •Identifies defects, takes pictures, and records results in the defect management system.
• •Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.

Physical Requirements:

• •Lift parts up to 35 pounds individually
• •Occasional bending, reaching, and squatting while performing tasks
• •Consistent usage of required PPE for the task being performed
• •Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
• •Ability to stand at the workstation while performing tasks

Basic Qualifications:

• •Basic Computer skills
• •Ability to use measuring tools and check gauges

Desired Qualification:

• •Knowledge of Caterpillar systems ATRS (Assembly Tracking and Reliability System), PINPoint, Geneo)
• •Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
• •Previous quality, welding or fabrication experience

Starting pay:

2nd Shift: $21.82/hour (includes 8% shift premium)

2nd Shift Schedule:

Monday – Friday 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM

*Mandatory overtime required/Scheduled in advance*

Summary Pay Range:

$20.20 - $25.25
