Job Title: Truck Fabricator Technician

Reports to: Fabricator Team Leader / Director of Operations

Department: Operations

Job Summary: Responsible for custom fabrication of customer’s trucks.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

Support daily functions including, but not limited to:

• •Support all daily functions of the shop
• •Fabricate, modify, and install truck bodies and equipment to chassis
• •Utilize tools such as:
• •Torches
• •Plasma cutters
• •Shears
• •Punch presses
• •Drill press
• •Metal cutting saws
• •Fabricate parts as needed
• •Weld ferrous and nonferrous metals using MIG or Arc (electrode) techniques
• •Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Required Skills/Abilities:

• •General comprehension of, and experience in, the truck build up process
• •General understanding of truck components
• •Experience with Welding/Fabrication
• •Ability to work alone with minimal or no supervision
• •Working knowledge of basic office software (such as Microsoft Office)
• •Working knowledge of company software and procedures
• •Great attitude and ability to work with others
• •Good communication skills, written and verbal
• •Attention to detail and good organizational skills

Education and Experience:

• •High school diploma or equivalent
• •Current regular driver’s license to move our vehicles
• •Forklift operator certification
• •Overhead crane operator certification

Physical Requirements (representative but not exhaustive):

• •Sitting, crouching, kneeling
• •Manual finger dexterity
• •Heavy lifting; 30 pounds or more
• •Twisting, bending, reaching, and stretching
• •Long periods of standing
• •Exposure to shop noise and dust
• •Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles
• •Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
• •Ability to work 45.7 hours weekly with some Saturdays as needed

Requirements

• •Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including THC/marijuana), physical, and background check.
• •Must have a valid drivers license to move our vehicles.
• •Must be able to work from 6am-3:30pm Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed.
