Facilities Maintenance Technician

Schedule: Full Time

Pay: $19-$20

Location: Madison County

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement projects across residential homes and agency facilities. This hands-on position is responsible for completing preventive and corrective maintenance safely and efficiently, including carpentry, drywall, basic electrical and plumbing work, appliance repair, HVAC troubleshooting, painting, grounds maintenance, and residential improvement projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs to facilities and residential properties, including carpentry, drywall, painting, siding, decks, basic electrical and plumbing work, and appliance troubleshooting and repair.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and troubleshoot building systems and equipment, including furnaces and air-conditioning systems, performing minor repairs as appropriate.
  • Maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment in accordance with applicable blueprints, manuals, codes, and established maintenance standards.
  • Respond to work orders efficiently, prioritizing emergency requests and completing scheduled maintenance and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Support seasonal and exterior property maintenance, including landscaping, lawn mowing, snow removal, deck staining, and other projects that improve the safety and appearance of properties.
  • Promote a safe and professional work environment by following safety procedures, properly using required safety equipment, maintaining assigned tools and supplies, and adhering to organizational policies and confidentiality requirements to organizational policies and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of experience in building/property maintenance preferred
