Feed Mill Maintenance Technician

Kolk Farms Ltd. is seeking a Feed Mill maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep our feed mill operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

Operate and monitor feed mill equipment.

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and equipment breakdowns.

Complete repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.

Work with conveyors, augers, motors, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulics, and other mill equipment.

Identify potential equipment problems before they result in downtime.

Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.

Follow all safety, feed safety, and biosecurity procedures.

Work with the feedlot and maintenance teams to keep feed production running smoothly.

Maintain basic maintenance and repair records.

Assist with other feedlot and feed mill duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on mechanical experience.

Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and figure out practical solutions.

Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Good attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job safely.

Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environment.

Previous agricultural, feed mill, heavy equipment, welding, electrician, millwright, or industrial maintenance experience is an asset.
