BU – Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies:

The Field Clinical Specialist for Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies will provide education on all aspects of the device, device handling, implantation and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, tools and products required for implants. The candidate will join a fast-paced, dynamic team within Edwards’ Lifesciences, and the individual will play a pivotal role in the implementation of TTVR therapies. Candidate must be based in North Italy, preferably in Milan.

How you will make an impact

Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and hospital staff on all aspects of technical matters related to products and procedures including imaging through conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs on one technology.

Evaluation of pre- and post-procedural valvular regurgitation and pressure gradients to evaluate procedural outcome.

Education of internal and external stakeholders on mitral- and tricuspid disease evaluation and screening for TMTT procedures.

Evaluation of echocardiographic imaging (2D, 3D, Doppler, M-Mode, etc.) for the purposes of patient selection and procedure support.

Other incidental duties.

EDUCATION SUPPORT

Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on technical aspects of the TMTT products and procedures and/or coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs.

What you will need:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in technical field

5 years of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience

An effective candidate must have hands-on skills with proven ability to apply technical knowledge and judgment to complex anatomical implant procedures.

Technical proficiency specific to echocardiography and interventional cardiology is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in operating echocardiographic equipment (TEE, TTE, ICE) and analyzing echocardiographic images is strongly preferred.

Strong aptitude for cardiac anatomy and physiology.

Experience working in cardiac Cath lab and/or operation room

Highly effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary - this position will require close collaboration with internal as well as external physician partners.

Computer proficiency, especially MS Word, MS Excel, & MS PowerPoint is preferred

Must be proactive and creative in identifying and solving problems.

Requires a high-energy individual who has excellent teamwork and communication skills

Enjoys working in a changing, fast paced environment

Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving.

Up to 80% travel

Language skills: Fluent English is a must have

For Italy, the base pay range for this position is 48 000 € to 68 000 € (highly experienced), in line with the applicable National Collective Agreement (CCNL Industria Chimico Farmaceutico).

The pay for the successful candidate will depend on some objective criteria (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience). Applications will be accepted while this position is posted on our Careers website.

For the purpose of determining the remuneration and job classification applicable to the position, the employment relationship shall be governed by the provisions of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL)
