The Field Marketing Coordinator plays a hands-on role in bringing OpenGov's brand to life through events, trade shows, and campaigns that generate pipeline and deepen relationships with prospects and customers. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, energized by logistics and execution, and eager to grow within a fast-moving govtech marketing team.

Responsibilities

Support the execution of field marketing programs and event strategies that drive pipeline and advance OpenGov's presence in key markets.

Coordinate logistics for regional marketing events, including trade shows and conferences — managing vendors, timelines, and on-site setup to ensure smooth execution.

Assist with planning and executing the annual customer conference, supporting promotion, registration, vendor coordination, on-site logistics, and post-event follow-up.

Partner with go-to-market teams to understand target audiences and ensure event messaging aligns with campaign objectives and product positioning.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, ensuring alignment with brand standards and campaign goals.

Track event and campaign performance using marketing automation and CRM platforms, contributing to ROI reporting and post-event recaps.

Coordinate with local industry associations, partners, and vendors to support event logistics and expand OpenGov's reach.

Represent OpenGov professionally at events, and travel to event locations as needed to support on-site execution.

Requirements and Preferred Experience

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

1–2 years of experience in event coordination, field marketing, or a related role; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Google Suite; familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Fluency with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) in a marketing context.

Ability to travel occasionally and work flexible hours to support event activities.

Preferred Experience:

Experience supporting trade shows, conferences, or B2B marketing events.

Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM platforms such as Salesforce.

Interest in or exposure to the public sector, government technology, or SaaS industries.

Compensation:

Chicago, IL: $60,000- $75,000

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
