About the Field Marketing Manager Role
Ciroos is an ‘AI SRE’ startup heavily backed by top-tier VCs, and we are defining a red-hot category: proactive AI reliability.
SREs, Platform Engineers, and DevOps leaders are a discerning audience. Engaging them requires more than just showing up; it requires highly strategic, creative activations that reflect the innovation of our product and the caliber of our leadership. We are looking for an outcome-driven Field Marketing Manager to lead our event strategy end-to-end.
From dominating the floor at Tier-1 industry conferences to orchestrating intimate executive dinners with Fortune 500 tech leaders, you will own the experiences that no digital campaign can replicate. You won't be handed a playbook; you will build the engine.
You'll report directly to the Head of Marketing with full autonomy to own this function—supported by the broader team, but operating with independence, creative conviction, and a relentless focus on pipeline.
What You'll Own
Strategic Event Planning & Selection
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate our presence at the industry events that matter most to our target audience.
Orchestrate high-touch, white-glove executive experiences (like private dinners for CIOs/VP of Eng) that accelerate existing deal cycles.
Build and defend our annual events calendar with rigorous ROI expectations.
Event Execution & Experience Design
Own the full execution: logistics, vendor negotiation, and flawless on-site operations.
Design premium booth activations, highly creative experiences, and high-quality swag that actually resonates with an engineering audience and exemplifies our differentiation.
Drive aggressive pre-event meeting generation. You know that the success of a trade show is determined weeks before the doors open.
Coordinate seamlessly with Sales to ensure every badge scan, business card, and conversation is instantly mapped, routed, and actioned in our CRM.
Post-Event Analysis & Pipeline Accountability
Analyze performance, ROI, lead quality, and pipeline attribution relentlessly.
Track competitive intelligence gathered in the field to inform future GTM strategy.
Who You Are (Required Background)
5+ years managing trade shows and field events for enterprise B2B technology companies.
Proven experience at early-stage tech startups (you must have the "scrappy/hustle" gene but know how to execute with premium polish).
Deep understanding of the SRE, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Observability buyer. You know what draws them in and how to capture their attention.
You are highly data-literate. You justify your budget requests with projected pipeline, not vanity metrics.
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)
Month 1: Take ownership of our immediate Q3/Q4 field calendar, including upcoming industry events and local executive dinners.
Month 3: Successfully execute your first major national trade show or executive activation, hitting predefined targets for qualified meetings and sourced pipeline.
Month 6: Establish a predictable, repeatable field marketing engine with clear ROI reporting that the executive team trusts implicitly.
The Role
Reports to: Head of Marketing
Salary: Dependent on experience
Travel: 35-50% (US-based field events)
