We're looking for an experienced Field Sampling Technician to support oil and gas field sampling and laboratory operations in Houston, TX.

In this hands-on role, you'll support both field sampling and lab operations, collecting and transporting oil, gas, and NGL samples from customer sites while maintaining sample integrity and accurate chain-of-custody documentation. You'll also support sample preparation, basic analysis, sample login, and documentation in the lab. Along the way, you'll operate and maintain sampling equipment, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and help keep daily operations running safely, accurately, and on schedule.

What You'll Do

• •Collect oil, gas, and NGL samples from designated client sites in accordance with established sampling procedures and methods
• •Pick up, transport, and deliver samples while maintaining proper chain of custody, preservation, and sample integrity
• •Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot field sampling equipment, escalating more complex issues as needed
• •Prepare sampling containers, labels, materials, and supplies for field activities
• •Maintain company vehicles and field equipment in safe, clean, and reliable operating condition
• •Complete chain-of-custody forms, field records, route documentation, and other required paperwork accurately and on time
• •Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding sampling needs, schedules, routes, and service requirements
• •Monitor and replenish sampling materials, consumables, and supplies as needed
• •Perform basic sample preparation and analysis following established laboratory procedures
• •Complete sample login in LIMS and verify sample information and data for accuracy, completeness, and traceability
• •Operate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment as needed
• •Participate in cross-training and ongoing development to expand technical skills and knowledge
• •Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• •High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in a related field preferred
• •Demonstrated hands-on experience in oil & gas field sampling, lab support, or related technical roles
• •Previous experience with sample preparation, basic analysis, sample login, and documentation is a plus
• •Working knowledge of sample collection, handling, preservation, and related field or lab equipment preferred
• •Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• •Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; LIMS or similar systems experience preferred

Work Schedule, Travel, & Environment

• •Full-time position
• •Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs
• •Work may be performed in lab, outdoor, or industrial environments in varying weather conditions
