Filling Operator

Description

Intermountain Blending & Filling (IBF) is looking for a Filling Operator to ensure IBF’s manufactured products are produced safely, in a compliant manner, with a high level of quality.

The hours for this position are 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

What You'll Do:

• •Ensure line equipment has been cleaned, sanitized, and set-up in preparation for production
• •Prepare equipment for production runs by loading appropriate containers, adjusting machines, changing labels, etc.
• •Perform Physical Inventory Count (PIC) before production run and notifies the warehouse of discrepancies
• •Participate in production run by performing various duties such as placing sleeves on product, checking product seals, and removing product as it exits the machine
• •Examine product quality during production run looking for defects, deviations, or nonconformances
• •Place finished product in boxes, palletize boxes, and stage pallets for warehousing
• •Remove questionable product from production and discard defective product in appropriate locations
• •Calculate and record materials used, scraped, and returned to the Warehouse
• •Hand-fill, hand-pack, weigh, and measure products
• •Perform basic cleaning duties, e.g. wiping down machines and equipment, mopping floors, and using cardboard baler and trash compactor
• •Document production run data in documentation packet following Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
• •Perform rework ensuring products are completed to the expected quality level
• •Work safely as directed and in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
• •Assist with box construction
• •Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment

We're Looking For:

• •High School diploma or equivalent
• •Previous experience working in a production environment preferred
• •Ability to follow detailed directions
• •Ability to identify potential issues
• •Basic written and verbal communication skills
• •Basic customer service skills
• •Basic understanding of GDPs
• •Ability to learn basic computer skills
• •Ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks
• •Ability to work in a team environment
• •Work requires frequent standing but may occasionally require sitting up to 25% of the time
• •Ability to perform repetitive manual dexterity, have both arms and legs accessible, and reach above shoulder level
• •Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• •Ability to occasionally walk, climb, bend, squat, crawl, push, and pull
• •Ability to discern color hues
