The Role

As Partiful’s first finance hire, you'll own Partiful's finance function end-to-end - building the systems, model, and operational infrastructure that enable Partiful’s growth, and help the business make fast, confident decisions at scale. This is a role for someone who wants to own the full picture and can execute on the granular, day-to-day finance operations - modeling scenarios that inform our most important decisions, managing our P&L, coordinating with our tax & accounting firm to ensure our numbers are trustworthy & timely, tracking & reporting financial KPIs, and collaborating with every team in the business to set us up for success.

We're NY-based with a hybrid in-person model, in the office 3 days a week.

In this role you will:

Own Partiful's financial model - build it, maintain it, and make it the thing leadership actually uses to make decisions

Scenario model for our most important decisions - hiring, fundraising, expansion, monetization efforts

Own pricing strategies & build the unit economics for Partiful’s monetization efforts

Manage the financial side of ticketing deals - diligencing partners, modeling fee discounts & sponsorship ROI and building guardrails to mitigate risk

Coordinate with our external accounting and tax firms to keep the close tight, the books clean, and the numbers trustworthy

Own controls, policies & finance process design end-to-end

Drive cost reduction across the business - identifying opportunities and actioning them, not just flagging them

Build and own the company's budget infrastructure: data-driven department-level targets set with each lead, cost centers and card limits configured in Ramp, and tooling for visibility & reporting.

Execute on day-to-day financial operations: AP/AR, internal & external reporting, cash management, cap table admin, and more.

You're a good fit if you:

Have 4–6 years of experience in finance, with a foundation in PE or IB and at least 2 years at a startup

Are comfortable owning the full scope - the fundraise scenario and the Ramp card audit in the same week

Have excellent modeling and analytical skills; comfortable with calculating and owning all financial metrics

Have experience underwriting deals and creating unique, effective deal structures

Obsess over the numbers, holding an extremely high bar for accuracy and correctness. High attention to detail.

Are AI-native, with a bias towards creating agents and relying on AI wherever possible to streamline workflows

Are comfortable jumping into any problem to fix it, no matter how small

Have a bachelor's degree, MBA as a bonus

What we offer:

401(k) with up to 6% matching

Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and all your dependents (FSAs and HSA plans available)

Free OneMedical membership, telehealth, and virtual mental health services

Commuter benefits & contributions towards ClassPass and Citibike memberships

Unlimited vacation (minimum 3 weeks required)

Quarterly stipend to plan your own party and dogfood the product

Annual team offsites

Get invited to exclusive parties 🎉

In your application, please include a note on what's got you excited about Partiful! The compensation range for this role is $170,000-$200,000 depending on years of experience.
