Lead financial management for a major SEQ water infrastructure project and shape delivery from budget through to handover with ACCIONA.

Job Description

About the Opportunity

As Finance Manager, you will lead the financial management, governance and commercial performance of the Wyaralong project, working closely with the Project Director, Project Management, Commercial and Corporate teams. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost control, cash flow and monthly financial reporting, ensuring project financial information is accurate and decision-ready. You will manage project accounting, including revenue and cost recognition, reconciliations and financial close, and support the Commercial team on subcontracts, variations and claims. As a member of the project leadership team, you will provide financial insight and challenge to senior stakeholders, with genuine influence over project financial outcomes.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

Lead financial management and governance across the project

Manage budgeting, forecasting and cost control processes

Oversee monthly financial reporting and performance analysis

Manage project cash flow, working capital and financial close

Support commercial management of subcontracts and variations

Partner with the Project Director on financial decision-making

Maintain financial controls and statutory compliance

Required Skills and Competencies

What capability and experience will you need to have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline

Professional accounting qualification such as CPA or CA ANZ desirable

Demonstrated experience in project finance on major infrastructure projects

Sound understanding of construction contracts, variations and claims

Strong proficiency in ERP and financial reporting systems
