At Breeze, we're building the AI-powered infrastructure layer for global commerce, making it radically simpler for businesses to sell, get paid, and operate across markets.

We go far beyond traditional payment processing. Breeze combines global payments, AI, stablecoins, and a Merchant of Record-like model to take on the complexity businesses typically manage themselves, including compliance, risk, fraud, chargebacks, reconciliation, and customer support.

Our goal is simple: let businesses focus on building and selling great products while Breeze handles the complexity behind getting paid.

Backed by Sequoia Capital , Multicoin Capital , and The Chainsmokers , Breeze is a successful, rapidly growing, and exceptionally well-capitalized company. We have the runway to think long term while remaining early enough that every person joining today can have a meaningful impact on what we build.

Overview

As our Financial Operations Manager, reporting to our Head of Finance, you'll run the daily mechanics of money movement: merchant settlement, liquidity positioning across our banking and custody footprint, and the funding decisions that keep payouts on schedule in every currency and every entity we operate in.

This is an execution role with real judgment attached. You'll be positioning cash before markets open, deciding which account gets funded and from where, executing wires and on-chain transfers under dual control, and investigating breaks when a settlement doesn't land where it should. It's also a build role. Much of what you'll inherit runs on spreadsheets and tribal knowledge, and we need it running on process. If you've done treasury or payment operations inside a payments company, a bank, or a crypto business, the shape of this job will be familiar.

We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, wants meaningful ownership, and is excited to build rather than simply maintain.

What You'll Do

Merchant setup and settlement

Own merchant settlement configuration: bank details, payout schedules, settlement currencies, funding instructions, rolling reserves, and holdback terms.

Execute and monitor the daily settlement cycle, investigating failed, delayed, or misrouted payouts through to resolution.

Own merchant-facing settlement inquiries and settlement statement accuracy.

Maintain reserve balances and release schedules in line with risk policy.

Respond to merchant queries on charges, balance reconciliations, top-up amounts, and tax collected.

Investigate settlement discrepancies and coordinate with payment partners on resolution.

Crypto settlements

Execute and reconcile stablecoin settlement flows, including on and off-ramp conversions with exchange and OTC counterparties.

Manage wallet operations: whitelisting, transfer approvals, and address hygiene.

Monitor custody balances and coordinate movements between custodial, exchange, and operating wallets.

Reconcile on-chain activity to internal ledgers and investigate discrepancies.

Liquidity and cash management

Run daily cash positioning across bank accounts in different countries and currencies, and monitor overall liquidity.

Set and monitor minimum balance and prefunding thresholds, moving funds before shortfalls become missed settlements.

Maintain rolling short-term cash forecasts covering settlement obligations, operating spend, and intercompany needs.

Build the reporting that gives leadership a same-day view of where cash sits and where it's going.

Multi-entity trade

Execute FX trades and intercompany funding across our legal entities, booking each trade with proper documentation and settlement tracking.

Track currency exposure across entities and flag positions that need hedging attention.

Support entity funding as we open new markets, accounts, and licenses.

Bank treasury support and controls

Execute wires, ACH, SEPA, and SWIFT payments under maker-checker controls with complete audit trails.

Serve as day-to-day operational contact for banking partners, sponsor banks, and custodians, covering account opening, documentation, escalations, and service issues.

Document treasury procedures and support internal control and audit requests.

What We're Looking For

5+ years in financial operations, treasury operations, or payment operations.

Experience from a fintech, payments company, bank, or other regulated financial services business. This is the core requirement. You should already know what a settlement break looks like, why prefunding timing matters, and what happens when a wire cutoff is missed.

Hands-on experience executing payments across multiple rails (wire, ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, or local equivalents) in a controlled environment.

Multi-currency and multi-entity experience, including FX execution and intercompany funding.

Demonstrated ownership of cash positioning and short-term forecasting.

Strong reconciliation instincts and genuine comfort with high-volume transaction data.

Advanced Excel, with real comfort working with large transaction-level datasets from processors or core banking systems.

Some experience applying AI to finance and accounting workflows.

Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments without an established playbook.

A builder mentality with a strong bias toward action.

Excited to use AI and automation to work smarter and rethink existing processes.

Comfortable getting into the details and doing the work, regardless of seniority.

Nice to Have

Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.

Direct experience with stablecoin or crypto settlement, custody platforms, or exchange and OTC relationships.

Familiarity with FBO account structures, safeguarding rules, or money transmitter permissible investment requirements.

Modern Treasury, NetSuite, or similar treasury and payment ops tooling.

BigQuery or comparable ability to pull your own data.

Experience standing up banking or custody relationships in a new country.
