This role sits at the intersection of new and exciting space technology and finance innovation, where you'll drive strategic finance transformation initiatives including SAP S/4 HANA implementations and integrations with Amazon corporate systems.

You'll provide cross-organizational leadership and partner with senior leaders to deliver end-to-end program solutions for accounting and finance process improvements with timelines that support the speed of the business. Your deep accounting acumen combined with strategic thinking will directly impact how we leverage AI and innovative solutions to delight internal and external customers. • Key job responsibilities
• - Lead end-to-end delivery of finance transformation programs and technology projects, representing accounting requirements for SAP S/4 HANA implementations and system integrations while communicating results and recommendations to senior leadership
• - Partner with cross-functional teams and advise senior leaders on strategic finance initiatives, building financial frameworks and developing mechanisms that drive business insights and process improvements
• - Dive deep to identify opportunities for large-scale financial solutions that improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations
• - Own financial reporting and analysis for the business area, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies while monitoring data integrity and establishing auditable processes
• - Drive process improvements through automation and innovation, leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and deliver meaningful insights that support operational and strategic decision-making

• A day in the life
• You'll start your day collaborating with cross-functional partners on SAP S/4 HANA integration requirements, then dive into analyzing complex financial data to provide insights that inform strategic decisions for satellite and ground station operations. Throughout the day, you'll lead program delivery discussions with senior leaders, solve ambiguous challenges by building financial models, and identify opportunities to leverage AI for process automation. You'll also mentor team members on financial controls, participate in system design sessions, and work on initiatives that directly enable Amazon Leo's mission to scale global space infrastructure.

Basic qualifications

• - Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• - Knowledge of one or multiple accounting frameworks (including US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP frameworks), with the ability to apply them in day-to-day financial activities
• - 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• - Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
• - Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
• - - Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred qualifications

• - CPA
• - Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
• - Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
• - Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• - 4+ years of implementing and managing SAP ERP solutions, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
