Department of Teacher Education - World Class Teaching Program (WCTP)

Job Summary:

Maintains financial records, monitors procurement transactions, provides administrative processing support, and provides customer service for staff and customers in an assigned program area to support program financial management.

This remote position is responsible for assisting with contracts, budget management and tracking, grant-related financial activities, and other program financial processes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with financial or administrative functions, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Job Description:

The World Class Teaching Program (WCTP) is seeking a part-time Financial Assistant to provide financial and administrative support for approximately 15 hours per week. This remote position is responsible for assisting with contracts, budget management and tracking, grant-related financial activities, and other program financial processes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with financial or administrative functions, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitors, organizes, and updates procurement transactions, accounts payable/receivable transactions, fiscal records and reports and affiliated materials, processes reimbursements and assigns funding codes in accordance with established rules, regulations and policies.
  • Tracks vendor reports, records and fund ledgers using existing tracking systems to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations.
  • Drafts communications and reports, maintains organization of varied records and secures resources for financial activities to provide administrative support within a specified work unit.
  • Answers fiscal questions and provides information based on set materials and standards to various audiences.

Substitution Statement: An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.

Compensation:

$18.64 - $27.96
