FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Summary

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.

Duties

• •You will provide customer service to all levels of leadership.
• •You will provide information about standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
• •You will formulate budgets to support plans, programs, and activities.
• •You will review budgets and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
• •You will perform specialized work with accounting system to track and control funds for special programs, and analyze payroll, cash control, or benefit systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Researching guidance to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information to prepare summaries for use by managers; 2) Processing a variety of financial transactions, reconciliations and reports for presentation to and for use by leadership; 3) Utilizing accounting systems to gather and update data; 4) Assisting with the forecasting of resources to ensure funding availability and budget estimates; and 5) Tracking obligations and expenditures in accordance with regulations to ensure accurate accounting of funds. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: A master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
