FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Summary

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.

Duties

• •You will conduct comprehensive financial management studies and evaluations of budgetary and accounting processes to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and auditability, and to develop alternative approaches for identified deficiencies.
• •You will develop and refine complex budget estimates and financial plans to ensure compliance with guidance from the Department of War (DoW) and Department of the Navy (DON).
• •You will conduct complex financial and program analyses to evaluate costs, benefits, risks, and alternative methods for managing organizational programs and administrative operations.
• •You will maintain a clear and comprehensive audit trail for all budgetary transactions and decisions.
• •You will apply accounting, internal control, and financial reporting principles to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of organizational financial information.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Providing comprehensive financial management analysis in support of all phases of budget formulation, justification, execution, and financial operations for organizational programs and activities; 2) Preparing detailed analytical justifications and interpreting complex budgetary policies supporting regulatory compliance;3) Conducting complex financial and program analyses; evaluating costs, benefits, risks, and alternative methods for managing organizational programs and administrative operations; and 4) Applying accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting principles; ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of organizational financial information.
