About the Position: Service as the Financial Manager responsible for directing and overseeing the comprehensive financial program for an organization. The role focuses on ensuring financial compliance, fiscal efficiency, and providing strategic advisory support to leadership to enable successful mission execution.

Duties

• •Develop and maintain integrated accounting and financial management systems.
• •Plan, develop, and coordinate comprehensive financial management programs including budgeting and resource allocation.
• •Supervise financial management staff and provide guidance on fiscal policies and procedures.
• •Implement internal control and audit programs for compliance with financial regulations.
• •Advise district leadership on financial status, trends, and resource utilization for decision making.
• •Coordinate with other federal agencies and command levels to clarify fiscal policies and resolve financial issues.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) managing financial management programs. AND 2) overseeing financial operations ensuring compliance with fiscal laws and regulations. AND 3) preparing and administering budgets, coordinating funding requests, monitoring expenditures and manpower. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accounting Advanced Financial Management Concepts, Policies, and Principles of Finance Leadership Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
