WHAT YOU WILL DO

Preventive Maintenance

• •Perform planned maintenance on production, packaging and utility equipment.
• •Inspect machinery and identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.
• •Ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.

Breakdown Maintenance

• •Diagnose mechanical faults and equipment failures.
• •Carry out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
• •Use appropriate diagnostic techniques to determine root causes.

Installation and Commissioning

• •Install new machinery and equipment.
• •Assist with commissioning and start-up activities.
• •Verify that equipment operates according to specifications.

Equipment Improvements

Modify or upgrade equipment to improve: Performance Efficiency Safety Reliability

Safety and Compliance

• •Follow Tiger Brands safety procedures and engineering standards.
• •Maintain housekeeping in workshops and production areas.
• •Participate in risk assessments and safety inspections.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Knowledge and Skills Required

• •Strong mechanical fitting skills.
• •Good understanding of packaging machinery.
• •Good understanding of compressed air systems and steam generation equipment.
• •Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
• •Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications

• •N4 Mechanical Engineering.
• •Red Seal Trade Certificate in: Fitter Fitter & Turner Millwright Or equivalent recognised trade qualification.

Experience

• •Proven experience as a fitter or in a related maintenance role.
• •Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.

• •Breakdown response and repair time.
