M&C Home Depot is seeking a suitable Forklift Operator/ Senior Warehouse Assistant. The primary responsibility is to receive, store and load goods, and maintain a clean and tidy warehouse environment. To make deliveries to customers and to assist with deliveries. To effect transfer of goods between warehouses and assist in supervising and training of new warehouse assistants

KEY FUNCTIONS

Provide service excellence.

Safely drive and operate assigned company equipment when required and directed.

Assist with loading, unloading and proper storage of goods.

Transfer goods form warehouse to delivery area

Carry out maintenance checks on forklift

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirement of a Secondary School Leaving Certificate.

Five CXC passes at General proficiency level including Mathematics and English Language would be an asset.

Good physical condition, stamina and strength required.

Valid driver’s license endorsed for light goods.

Must be twenty- five (25) years and over.

OTHER KEY SKILLS

Ability to work independently while performing required tasks.

Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy, communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to work with other employees and assist in lifting.

Ability to work within a customer service environment.

Must be able to tolerate dusty conditions.

Ability to work well under pressure.

Ability to get individual and group tasks completed efficiently and on a timely basis.
