• Position Overview
• Formation Operator assures correct acid level and conduct a visual inspection for cosmetic defects.

• Areas of Focus
• Formation Operator complies with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE. Additionally, Formation Operator understands & practices the Quality policy day to day.

• Responsibilities
• Level I
• •Place caps onto batteries according to battery type
• •Perform the proper function of stacking on / off from conveyors
• •Identify all defects prior to filling with acid (1st fill)
• •Analyze the correct direction of the batteries during off bearing. (Understand correct polarity of batteries)
• •Identify the correct cable (jumpers) to be placed on specific types of batteries
• •Demonstrate proper use of table lift during off bearing
• •Ensure correct marking on the battery rack to aid Circuit Tender
• •Display correct use of PPE
• •Perform general housekeeping
• •Meets all quality requirements and standards
• •Meets all production requirements

• Basic Qualifications
• •High school diploma or equivalent
• •6 months – 1-year machine operator experience
• •Stand-up Lift / Forklift Certification
• •Basic computer skills
• •Read and understand basic English
• •Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• •Experience in an assembly/production environment
