About the Role

We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to be embedded directly with clients — part engineer, part product partner, part trusted advisor. You will own the arc of a client engagement end-to-end: understanding the business problem, shaping the solution, building it, and making sure it actually delivers value once it ships.

This role suits someone who is a strong full-stack engineer first, but who is energized by being close to users and stakeholders rather than insulated from them. You will frequently be the only technical voice in the room, translating ambiguous business needs into concrete software, and translating technical realities back into language the client can act on. Equal parts shipping code, asking the right questions, and building the kind of relationship that makes clients want to keep working with you.

AI-assisted development is part of our standard workflow. Candidates should have hands-on experience with tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering & Delivery

• •Build fullstack web applications using React/TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, with responsive interfaces that work across desktop and mobile
• •Design and implement APIs, database schemas, and frontend architectures suitable for production use
• •Design, develop, and deploy AI agents to automate workflows and enhance product capabilities using frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, CrewAI, or OpenAI Agents SDK
• •Deploy, configure, and operate applications across the client's cloud stack — adapting comfortably between providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which is the platform for the client engagement
• •Debug and resolve issues across the full stack, including in production environments
• •Write clean, tested, and well-documented code

Product Thinking

Run discovery with clients to uncover the underlying problem — not just the feature they asked for — and translate it into a clear solution shape

Scope work into shippable increments, make trade-offs between scope, time, and quality, and communicate those trade-offs transparently

Maintain a working roadmap for each engagement and keep priorities aligned as the picture evolves

Define success metrics with the client and track whether what you ship is actually moving them

Push back constructively when a request doesn't serve the user or the business, and propose better alternatives

Client & Relationship Management

Be the primary technical point of contact for the engagement — running working sessions, demos, and status updates with confidence

Build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership at the client

Set and manage expectations proactively — surface risks early, communicate slippage honestly, and celebrate wins concretely

Spot opportunities to deepen the engagement and flag them to the wider team

Leave every interaction with the client feeling that the engagement is in good hands

Requirements

Must Have

3-6 years of experience building and shipping production web applications across the full stack

Strong proficiency in React.js (TypeScript, hooks, modern patterns)

Solid backend experience with Node.js (Express, Fastify, or similar)

Working proficiency in PostgreSQL — schema design, query optimization, migrations

Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs

Comfort deploying and running applications on cloud infrastructure, with the versatility to adapt across cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) as the engagement requires

Active use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code) in professional work, with the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output

Demonstrated product instinct — comfort scoping ambiguous problems, prioritizing ruthlessly, and making sensible build-vs-defer calls without a PM holding your hand

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of working directly with clients or business stakeholders

High ownership — you treat the client's outcome as your own and follow through without being chased

Good to Have

Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) — compute, networking, database, or deployment services

Experience building or integrating AI agents (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar frameworks)

Prior experience in a client-facing, consulting, or forward-deployed engineering role

Experience leading discovery workshops, writing PRDs or solution proposals, or running stakeholder demos

Experience with third-party system integrations (ERPs, payment gateways, OAuth/SSO)

Data migration experience — cleaning, transforming, and loading data from varied sources

Familiarity with message queues

Exposure to account growth, renewals, or scoping follow-on work with existing clients
