About the Role

As a Full Stack Developer, you will design, develop and maintain scalable applications supporting business-critical financial technology solutions. You will own the tooling, process, and execution for the digitization of incoming regulatory and policy documents to underpin the creation and maintenance of FIS’s regulatory mandate catalog. In this role, you will work very closely with Product Managers, Knowledge Engineers and Business SMEs to develop and maintain the document ingestion and digitization platform.

What You Will Be Doing

• •Design, develop and maintain scalable full stack applications using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.
• •Own and maintain the document scraping and transformation tooling, with the opportunity to revamp and revitalize these tools
• •Triage and process incoming requests for digitization of documents from supported sources and in supported formats
• •Scale internal tooling to support ingestion of documents from new regulators and new formats
• •Collaborate with our Knowledge Engineers to formalize standards for parsed documents and improve automated test coverage of this process
• •Work closely with product managers, business experts, solution leaders and clients to design, develop and maintain a platform of parsing tools and applications.
• •Take independent ownership of the tooling platform and make independent decisions based on design and architectural best practices.
• •Use modern applications and tools for rapid prototyping and development of applications
• •Use AI driven development and AI development life cycles to get new tools and platforms to the market quickly.
• •Ensure application performance, reliability, security and observability.

Required Qualifications

• •8 to 12 years of hands-on full stack software development experience.
• •Strong proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
• •Experience building tools that integrate with external APIs
• •Proven experience in independently developing full stack applications, end to end ownership
• •Experience using AI assisted development to develop rapid prototyping and rapid application development.
• •Strong back-end development experience, including application programming interfaces, services and distributed systems.
• •Experience working with relational or non-relational databases.
• •Knowledge of software design principles, secure coding practices and application architecture.
• •Experience with source control, automated testing and continuous delivery practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud.
• •Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps delivery environments.
• •Knowledge of banking, payments, financial services or fintech solutions.
