We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer (Java) to join a leading payments and commerce platform serving the travel & hospitality sector. You'll build and scale the Java/Spring Boot microservices and React/TypeScript front-ends that power a high-volume restaurant and bar POS product, working embedded with a U.S.-based client team on a modern, API-first GCP/AWS stack. This is a hands-on role for someone who has actually lived inside hospitality POS — table management, order/pay flows, tips, and KDS integration — not just built generic transactional systems.

What you will do:

Back-End Services

Build Java / Spring Boot microservices for high-volume transactional POS systems.

Design for scale, resilience, and observability.

Full-Stack Delivery

Build React / TypeScript front-ends for merchant and operator experiences.

Integrate services across the POS platform.

APIs & Integration

Design RESTful APIs and integrate POS APIs and event streams (Kafka / Google Pub/Sub).

Ensure reliable, well-versioned service contracts.

Quality & Delivery

Apply CI/CD, automated testing (Cypress), and monitoring.

Use AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot / coding agents) to raise velocity.

Tools & Technologies:

Platforms & Infrastructure: Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, MySQL, POS / high-volume transaction systems.

Security & DevSecOps: CI/CD, automated testing (Cypress), monitoring and observability.

Cloud & IaC: GCP, AWS, RESTful APIs, Kafka / Google Pub/Sub, Git / GitHub.

What you bring: Experience:

Experience: 3+ years of full-stack engineering with Java + Spring Boot, React + TypeScript front-end development, MySQL and RESTful API design, and hands-on work with high-volume transactional systems and POS APIs; required travel & hospitality industry experience in the restaurant/hospitality POS domain (table management, order/pay flows, tips, KDS integration)

Consulting / Leadership: Comfortable working embedded with a U.S.-based client team, aligned to EST hours, with strong written and spoken English for direct, client-side collaboration.

Mindset: Delivery-focused and quality-driven, comfortable designing for scale and resilience, and open to using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot/agents) to raise velocity.

Nice to have: Kafka / Google Pub/Sub, Cypress test automation, Spanish/Portuguese fluency for LatAm hospitality expansion, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Location: LatAm-based remote professional fully aligned with EST business hours.
