Full-Time Fresh Cut Produce Associate

Kimberton Whole Foods is hiring for a full-time Fresh Cut Produce Associate to join the Collegeville team!

Requirements: Full-time, 40 hours per week. One weekend shift is required per week.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday set schedule. Mix of opening and closing shifts. Shifts are within a 6:30am-8:30pm timeframe.

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

Starting Hourly Pay: $17.00 - $19.00

The Fresh Cut Produce Associate’s Primary Responsibilities

• •Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• •Slicing of whole fruits and vegetables, packaging, weighing and labeling of cut produce containers
• •Maintains appropriate inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing on products received and sold
• •Completes all necessary sanitation standards within Fresh Cut areas of produce department
• •Rotating fresh produce on a first-in first-out basis.
• •Follows the established KWF SOP for maintaining abundant, dynamic and fresh displays throughout the department.
• •Working in collaboration with the Produce Department head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage

Requirements

Physical Capabilities

• •Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
• •Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
• •Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• •Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• •Standing- prolonged standing.
• •Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
• •Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
