About The Role

Makers Fund is a global interactive entertainment industry venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments. We are looking for a Fund Accountant to be based in Singapore.

The Fund Accountant (Junior) will be working closely with our operation teams and reporting directly to the Senior Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare timely and accurate NAV reports, management accounts and other fund accounting reports.

Record accurately the accounting journal entries for both the Fund and Investment Management Companies in different jurisdictions.

Review capital distribution notices, NAV reports prepared by the fund administrator, and reconcile with internal records.

Identify exceptions and quality check accounting records.

Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, annual financial statements, regulatory reports, tax returns and/or other required deliverables.

Process payments and input/review reimbursements.

Others ad-hoc assignments including opening bank accounts, preparing management reports.

Skills and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar financial focus preferred.

1 to 2 years of experience in fund or corporation accounting; prior fund accounting experience is highly advantageous.

Ideally hold an ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification

Experience in handling Singapore MAS quarterly & annual returns and IRAS tax filing (e.g. Form C, ECI and GST) preferred.

Experience in handling Singapore IRAS tax filings (e.g. Form C, ECI, and GST) is preferred but not mandatory.

Willing to learn and take new challenge in a fast-moving environment.

Responsive, attention to details with organizational and analytical skills.

Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.

Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
