General Maintenance and Operations Supervisor

About the Position: This position is located at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, with the Directorate of Public Works.

Duties

• •Direct project schedules to ensure the timely accomplishment of construction and transportation work operations.
• •Establish a preventive maintenance program to maximize the reliability of complex electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.
• •Allocate manpower, materials, and tooling resources to maintain balanced workloads and optimize production.
• •Analyze production, cost, and personnel utilization records to identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions that reduce costs.
• •Supervise a diverse workforce of personnel through subordinate supervisors to ensure strict compliance with safety, quality assurance, and EEO policies.
• •Evaluate the job performance and training needs of subordinate supervisors to support professional development.
• •Optimize organizational structures and position descriptions to improve overall workflow efficiency within the division.

Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments Working Conditions: For this position, incumbent will be working in a mixture of an office setting and shops as someone that oversees work for mechanics and tradesmen but also works directly with the business office for planning and execution of projects.
