Onsite – Melbourne, AU Join Moog as a critical part of Moog’s Space and Defence Group, a global leader in motion and flow control technologies . We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations in Moog Australia.

This high impact leadership role reports directly to the Missile Systems Business Unit General Manager and is responsible for building site capability while delivering 100% quality and 100% on-time delivery.

In this role, you will:

• •Lead with Vision: Oversee operations and mentor teams to produce mission-critical missile steering and control systems. Focus on building and executing the growth strategy for Moog Australia.
• •Execute Strategy & Drive Results: Deliver site-level performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement while aligning site operations to business unit and enterprise objectives.
• •Operational Excellence: Lead your team to deliver 100% quality and 100% on-time delivery, meeting Moog’s operational excellence standards.
• •Drive Innovation: Optimize processes, resources and maintain production equipment to ensure rigorous production schedules and quality standards.
• •Deliver Financial Results: Own site P&L performance, balancing revenue growth, cost control, operational efficiency, and investment priorities to support long-term business success.
• •Support Customers & Programs: Partner with the Business Unit General Manager in customer engagement, ensuring transparency, operational readiness, and delivery of performance.
• •Lead People, Culture and Capability: Build strong site culture aligned with Moog’s values and mutual trust & respect, teamwork, and long-term development.
• •Collaborate and Inspire: Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence across manufacturing, engineering, production, maintenance, planning, quality, environmental, and safety teams.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

• •Required
• •Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing and or a related field

• •Desired
• •Advanced degree (Master of Business Administration or Masters of Science or similar)

Work Experience:

• •Required
• •10+ years of management experience in manufacturing environments with at least 5 years in defence or aerospace industries

• •Advantageous
• •Direct experience with Moog’s missile system technologies
• •Experience partnering across multiple sites or global operations

Suitability:

• •Leadership: Proven ability to manage and mentor high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
• •Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of production processes for complex defence systems, such as missile steering controls, actuation systems, or propulsion technologies.
• •Strong continuous improvement and operational excellence mindset

Eligibility:

• •Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain the required Australian security clearance (minimum NV1). Continued employment beyond the six‑month probationary period is conditional on being granted the appropriate clearance.
• •Must satisfy police checks and employment screening verification including employment reference checks
• •Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulation (ITAR) which in some circumstances can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1
