Governance & Financial Control, Vice President, Business Unit Management

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President, Governance & Financial Control to oversee governance, monitoring, reporting, and financial control for Corporate Services spend within Business Services & Management's Independent Governance & Financial Control function. The role is responsible for end-to-end invoice, accrual, allocation, and vendor governance, operating within established policies and thresholds.

This is a Vice President level position within Business Unit Management, which performs business management/CAO functions such as headcount management, financials, people processes, executive communications, and strategic support.

What you'll do in the role:

• •Execute and maintain independent expense-control governance, including policies, standards, decision rights, evidence requirements, and audit readiness
• •Oversee invoice, accrual, allocation, vendor, and operational controls, including billing recovery, SLA compliance, utilization, payment aging, and exception remediation
• •Lead major vendor reviews and process improvements, embedding stronger SLAs, automation, and governance into business-as-usual operations
• •Define and govern MIS requirements, KPIs, thresholds, dashboards, and reporting standards to provide leadership and OpCos with visibility into control health, savings, and exceptions
• •Partner with Technology, Finance, Sourcing, Service Owners, and process-optimization teams to translate control requirements into reporting and automation solutions while protecting data integrity
• •Provide independent challenge and governance reporting, driving issue resolution, continuous improvement, centralized exception management, and knowledge transfer across the CS governance function

What you'll bring to the role:

• •Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• •Typically, 8+ years of experience in financial governance, commercial or cost controls, or expense management within a global financial institution
• •Experience with vendor billing, reconciliations, accruals, cost allocations, internal audits, and evidence-based financial controls
• •Demonstrated experience establishing control frameworks, thresholds, exception logs, and audit processes
• •Experience defining management-information requirements and partnering with technology teams on dashboards and data pipelines
• •Strong management-reporting, cost-analysis, process-optimization, vendor-governance, SLA, and utilization-analysis capabilities
• •Ability to influence Sourcing, Finance, Service Owners, and regional teams while maintaining independence from the functions being governed
• •Experience leading a small control team; experience within a shared-services or Center of Excellence environment is preferred.
• Experience with automation, AI, and workflow tools; travel-services expertise is considered an advantage.
