As a Harness Design Engineer, you will ;
Own electrical harness design for the drone airframe, docks, and test platforms. The role is approximately 90% electrical and 10% mechanical (clips, routing, retention).
Responsibilities;
Design wire harnesses for the airframe, dock systems, and test benches
Select connectors, wire, and harness components
Create harness drawings, schematics, wire lists, and BOMs
Define routing, clipping, and retention with the mechanical team
Plan and support harness testing (continuity, hipot) and resolve issues
Support transition of harness designs to production
Required Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of harness design experience
Connector and component selection experience
Wire sizing, shielding, grounding, and power distribution fundamentals
Harness test and validation experience
Familiarity with the aerospace regulatory environment (FAA airworthiness requirements) and aerospace wiring standards (e.g., SAE AS50881)
Preferred Qualifications
UAV or aerospace harness experience
Harness design tools (e.g., Capital, E3, SolidWorks Electrical)
Experience supporting production build and inspection
Salary Range: $120k - $150k
