About KOHO

We’re on a mission to make financial services better for every Canadian. That means no hidden fees, no predatory interest rates - just financial products designed to help our users spend smart, save more, and build real wealth. We’re a performance organization with a strong heart: we care deeply about outcomes, and everything ties back to our mission - to financially empower a generation of Canadians.

At KOHO, we’re not your average 9-5. We believe real impact comes from people who are trusted, empowered, and supported to do their best work - without sacrificing their lives to do it. We prioritize work-life integration, not just work-life balance. That means asynchronous collaboration, flexible hours, and a remote-first setup built around autonomy and high trust.

KOHO is entering its next chapter - leaner, smarter, more AI-integrated. We’re building for impact, not bureaucracy. If you thrive in environments that value clarity, ownership, and bold thinking, you’ll fit right in.

About the Role

We're building an in-house creative studio that brings campaigns, product storytelling, content, events, and advertising together under one roof. You will work with other marketing leaders to establish a cohesive and integrated marketing vision. As Head of Creative, you'll define KOHO's creative vision and lead the team that brings it to life across every touchpoint.

This role is equal parts creative leadership, organizational leadership, and talent development. You'll oversee a multidisciplinary team of creative directors, designers, copywriters, and producers, ensuring everything KOHO puts into the world reflects an exceptional creative standard while supporting business objectives.

You'll shape how the creative organization operates, establish the systems and culture that enable great work, and serve as the senior creative voice across the company. While your primary focus is leading people and building the organization, you'll remain close to the work—guiding concepts, providing direction, and occasionally rolling up your sleeves when needed.

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you'll partner closely with leaders across Growth, Lifecycle, Product Marketing, and Product to connect creative excellence with business impact.

Set art direction and copy direction for campaigns, brand, web, product, video, events, and social

What You'll Need

15+ years of experience leading creative teams and organizations in ambitious, fast-paced environments with significant time at agencies or in-house teams that think like agencies

A portfolio that shows conceptual range across both copy and art direction ; big ideas that work across mediums

Experience working across the marketing stack, with a solid understanding of the overall marketing department’s objectives (not just creative).

Ability to collaborate with product design to ensure consistency and design cohesiveness

Proven ability to direct and elevate writers, art directors and designers

Deep expertise across copywriting, advertising, campaigns, content, and production

Strong creative instincts with a portfolio demonstrating conceptual excellence across multiple channels and mediums
